About Melissa
It’s me. Hi.
Can I just write my “about me” like an insta bio? I’m an elder millennial so it just feels right: Wife, mom, Texan, Christian (the Dolly Parton kind, not the Cheeto kind).

I love collecting information and inspiration about personal growth, truly healthy living, and making a difference in the world while creating a haven at home. I’m sarcastic and I know I’m cringe, because my kids tell me so.
Underneath it all is someone who just wants to know who she is and her place in this world, and do a good job at it all. Yes, America Ferrera’s monologue in Barbie hit hard. I’m working on doing All The Things out of a place of rest, not striving.

If the fabric of who you are is quilted pieces of childhood nostalgia and shadow work, book learning and existential dread, keeping up with technology while relaxing with old-fashioned hobbies, prioritizing true health over fads, and a deep desire to make a positive impact on the world while creating a safe haven at home, you’re in good company.
